Women's Weekend Spring
Wonderful Lineup of Specialty Programs for 2017!

NEW! We will have a fun PADDLE AUCTION this year instead of a silent auction so bring your quarters or purchase them Saturday night at the registration table.  For this event, we will be auctioning BASKETS so if you would like to put one together for us or donate an item for one bring it along!

NEW! Saturday's evening will be a CINCO DE MAYO Party! You are encouraged to bring your most colorful, festive clothing!  We will have music, song, dance, and crafts to enjoy!

NEW! We will be organizing a Pinterest Party late Saturday evening to share your love of crafting. Please let us know on Friday if you would like to join.


Workshop/Seminars:

Nicola Danks will be ready to get creative with natural foods to make beautiful dyed scarfs to help elevate your wardrobe. Also, bring extra shirts, socks, or other clothing and we will TIE DYE!  You can purchase shirts at the registration desk as well! 

Bea Castillo will get you up, moving, and learning about different creative dance. Bea is a wonderful instructor in folk dancing. Be sure to gather around the campfire and listen to some of her Old Time songs. Bea will have pottery clay projects to try your hand at too.

Jill Laidlaw, our Camp Director, is always ready to share her outdoor activities, nature walks, experiential night hikes, and more. Jill does a wonderful job of introducing people to new experiences. Spend time with her and you will find yourself climbing a tree, exploring a stream, or paddling a kayak! Bring extra clothes or rain pants if you would like to KAYAK with us.  The paddle will drip water into your lap.

Tom Ruth will demonstrate the art of blacksmithing. With an anvil and a hammer he can make everything. All are welcome to try and learn the basic skills of blacksmithing.

Carol Kubiak will be here as Art Instructor Extraordinaire, and teacher of Woodshop & Archery.

Jeanne Lilienthal will help anyone who brings fleece material can create a knotted blanket. Jeanne has created 100’s of her blankets and shared them with friends who are in need of the warmth and love that they bring.

Virginia Upper in the Craft Corner will be open and waiting for you to come and enjoy her company and bring out the creativity in all of you!

•Brother Bear join in his class if you are interested in PHOTOGRAPHY, you can bring a camera if you like or your iphone will work too!

B.J. Morrison will offer QUICK WAYS TO REDUCE STRESS. For more years then we can count, B.J. has been volunteering her time to organize our Women's’ Weekend! Her time and effort have given it the special touches that make it so wonderful! Each year she pulls together a great crew of volunteers who come and give their time and effort to share their talents and skills. Please join us in thanking B.J.!

•Back by very popular demand is Heather Gavagan, our lead masseuse! Heather has a keen sense of what her customers need and adapts her massage techniques to fit the individual. Her smile and caring way is a great addition to our weekend. $45 1 hour

Pinterest Party (www.pinterest.com) The party will take place after Saturday evening after the activities, so you won't miss a thing.
-A Pinterest Party is where each person brings a craft she would like to share or saw on Pinterest, and brings enough supplies for 1 guest ($15-$20 value). Names are pulled out of a hat to decide who gets to pick the first craft out of the group and it goes down the line. By the end of the night, every person will have made a craft. **Crafts you choose should not take more than 30-45 mins to complete. Please bring all tools required for the craft and you will receive them back. Still not sure, please email cavellstar@gmail.com for more details.
