My children Kenneth (K.L.)
and Carrie are now 27 and 24 years old, but I can never return
to Camp Cavell without remembering the annual trips that our
families (The Moores and the Mosses) made every year for most of
their youth.
I
can still feel the joy, the excitement and the adventure of
those memories, as I moved through the campground for this
year’s Autumn Women’s Weekend.
Walking along the
moonlit path of what will soon transform into the “Haunted
Trail,” I could almost hear their voices, the glee of my
children, as they experienced the magic that had been created
for them by the Camp Cavell staff.
Camp
Halloween Family Weekend,
where the creative spirit’s of those who love the traditions of
the season - come to experience a safe and magical autumn
weekend with celebration and a little seasonal mischief.
On Saturday night,
the wee ones come out to roam, trick or treating from cabin to
cabin (make sure that you join in the fun by decorating your
cabin entrance). Marvel at the magnificence of Michigan’s fall
color and romp through a pile of leaves, and so much more.
You just may find…that
you, like me - will come again and again.
boo in your heart and create a memory that will stay etched in your heart space forever. |
