Hi from Jill!
That little bit of spring-like
weather really makes you think
about getting outside and getting
busy! Every year we have a growing
number of
enthusiastic people who ban
together to help us
open camp for the season.
They will tell you that volunteer
weekend is a combination of fun,
work, laughter, and play. It is a
great way to do something good for
camp! We have weekday and weekend
crews in two different weeks!

12) and their Moms, Aunts,
Grandmas or other special
adults. It is full of activities
for each age group including
Moms. Best of all we do the
cooking and dishes! Experienced
camp counselors and volunteers
will present a variety of fun
activities. We always have a
great time, come join us!

Toasty had Baby Twins!
You
are invited to her Baby Shower!
Toasty, our mama goat form last year
had twins again. This is her third
time having babies.
Toasty is owned by Letha who is a
past camper at Camp Cavell and is
on our Kitchen Staff. Letha has
been involved with 4H and has taught
animal care at camp. She was
waiting for the babies to arrive all
day. When she went out to her

Kitchen Crew Attempts
to
Bring Home Giant
Chicken!
Well this one got away, but they are
gearing up for a
"Tasty" summer!
What they are really
bringing home are new
creative ways to cook
their chicken! They met
this fellow at the
Gordon's Food Show where
they go each year. They
check out what is new
and find more ways to
make tasty treats for
you. It's a big job
making meals for 250
people at a time on hot
summer days in our
kitchen! We have two
shifts of cooks...
