 Glory
has a New Foal! What a
beautiful baby! If you were in our riding program at the end of the summer
you got to meet Glory. Glory has now had her baby and here are the baby
pictures! She belongs to Mai our riding director. Glory had her
first foal "Papu" right here at camp 7 years ago! Many of you met Papu who
spent last summer here at camp as well! |

Tree Climbing kid's will be eating, sleeping and raising needed funds
for our Campership programs at our Redford YWCA branch on Mothers Day
Weekend! Dean Krauskopf (WJR, The Gardening Show) The
PUBLIC is welcome on Saturday to try a sample climb in exchange for a
donation to YWCA Camp Cavell Campership Program! To make a

Meet
Carlo, he is an ALPACA, which is something like a small Lama.
Carlo and his pal Tulio now call Camp Cavell home! P.s. They
don't spit at people!

Alumni and Volunteers, we are looking for your help to create
scrapbooks to celebrate our 80th birthday in camping in the year 2004.
|
Camp was hit hard by the Ice Storm that lasted for two days.
This weekend was to be our work weekend with 50 volunteers all set to
come up and give a hand to open camp! Work weekend will be moved
to April 11th!

Camp
Angels have gotten together again to build our NEW Crafts
Cabin! The structure is up, now we just need the finishing
touches!
|
|
Thanks
to our "Camp Angels" our Nature Yurt is a reality! Our dream of having a nature center
where we can focus our efforts for environmental awareness will take
shape this spring!

Last
year we were able to purchase new "Sit on Top" kayaks for our
waterfront. Check them out!
|
|
Here
at camp we have seen the Lake Levels raise and fall dramatically.
We have gone from having almost no beach (as you see in the
photo below) with the pier covered with water, to the pier being
totally out of the water this year!

beach. You can even learn the secret location of a
shipwreck!
