 Attempts to

 Bring Home
 Giant Chicken!

Well this one got away, but they are gearing up for a "Tasty" summer!

What they are really bringing home are new creative ways to "cook their chicken"! They met this fellow at the Gordon's Food Show where they go each year.  They checked out what is new and found more ways to make tasty treats for you.  It's a big job making meals for 250 people at a time on hot summer days in our kitchen!  It can get up to 95 degrees in the kitchen when all the ovens are going on a hot day, but they hang in there for you!

This year's crew is one of the greatest!  They are working hard to make it the best season ever.  They are already up at camp even though the kitchen is closed volunteering their time in the cold to get their kitchen in shape!  They are scrubbing floors, rearranging furniture, and creating better organization in the kitchen.

They are also volunteering in other areas in camp!  Several of the staff have experience with animals and pets so they are going to refurbish our petting farm too.  Wait till you see the improvements!

(Ps. they are looking for donations to help make this happen)

Over 3,000 people come to camp during the season.  During their stay each person eats an average of 14 meals.  That figures out to the cooks cooking over 42,000 meals a season!  Last year they cooked an estimated 15,000 of our famous cookies!  This year they will be keeping count on their new "Cookie Counter"!

We have two shifts of cooks of three or four people each, so we invite you to stop in and say hello!
