Bottled Water a Growing Environmental Problem!

at camp we are seeing the number of water bottles being brought to camp
growing! In a recent taste test at camp, we chilled camp water and let it stand for 24 hours. In the taste test our guests insisted that our chilled camp water was bottled water! YEP, they did. The secret to not having camp water taste nasty is to get it cold and let it sit. When you first pour camp water it has an irony taste, but the taste disappears when it is cold and sits for a bit. Our wonderful pure camp water comes from a pristine aquifer 100 feet down in the earth where no bacteria can grow and it contains minerals that are good for you! Maybe we should sell it! We have about 4000 people a year come to camp and if they all were to bring a dozen bottles that would be 48,000 bottles a season! We will try and provide chilled camp water in the future to help limit the environmental impact of all those bottles and we ask you to bring a reusable water bottle to fill instead of throwaway bottles!
